New Yarn New Happiness

I ordered yarn from ice yarn around September 3rd week by regular mail. Usually it will take 3-4 weeks to arrive in Bulacan. So I expected it to arrive by 2nd week of October. It's almost the 2nd week of October but still no news about my yarn. I was so frustrated about my yarn that I asked my mother to inquire in Post office if there is news about my package As usual laging delay pag sa munisipyo. But the good thing is wala ng malaking charge unlike before. Just P55 pesos to get my package( before I am paying around 1k). Malaki ata ang epekto ng Bistado kaya tinanggal na nila ang additional charge.

Well, anyway I got so excited that I want to travel to bulacan right away( I lived in Las Pinas and it's 3-4 hrs travel). And typhoon is also on its way. But then no Typhoon or heavy rain or flood that will come my way. Ha Ha Ha.... Yarn is Yarn. =)

Here are my purchase. 

- Red oglak mohair (70% acrylic 25% mohair). It is thin and very soft and not too hairy

- White cashemere, merino poymide. Also very thin and soft. 

- Gray is 70% linen and 30% viscose. It is soft and thin but a little stiff. 

- Angora Design Self Striping. Combination of Angora, wool and Acrylic. Hairy but sooooo soft. 

When I got them the first thing is do is hug them and smell them (weird of me or maybe I'm just too happy or excited about my new yarn).

Everytime I purchase yarn I am not sure what to make of them. I just stare of them for a long time. ~_~. New yarn New Happiness.

Owly owl

Another crocheted toy added to my collections. I really like the owl design and this time I made owl Amiguri.

I got acrylic gray with combination of  red and white yarn. I bought it from Rosario Pasig years ago. I wanted a doily but instead I made a amiguri. As usual my son love his new toy same with crocheted totoro.

I am still alive.....crocheted skirt for comeback

It's been awhile since my last post and last log in but I'm still alive. I've been busy and took a break from crochet and now I'm planning to post more crochet project.

As for my comeback I decided to post my crocheted skirt made from 50% merino and 50% acrylic yarn from ice-yarn. I bought the yarn last January when they had a winter sale and made big discount. 

So excited to fit and I think it fitted well. I think it's best wear in office but any occasion would do. I'm planning to sell this skirt but I'm still deciding. It looks good on me! haha 

For size of the skirt just pm me. The skirt is a simple V stich pattern. 

New Shawl for me

I cannot tolerate the cold here anymore. I've been avoiding crochet these past weeks. I wanted to enjoy my vacation and just surf, play with kids, roaming around and chit chat with relatives. But it seems that the scarf is not enough. The cold breeze of the wind  in the morning give shivers every time.

I didn't bring any jacket and my clothes are limited. So I search for a triangular shawl that's easy to make and will be done in 5-8hrs( har har har). I want an easy pattern that I can finish right away and can use right away. Been crocheting between work so hopefully it will be finish this afternoon.

The yarn I'm using is from Ice Yarn. 50% Merino Wool , 50% Acrylic and I;m using size 7/0 hook. The pattern can be found here http://gosyo.shop.multilingualcart.com/free1.php (no. 210-60). Just look for triangular shawl.

Happy New Year to Everyone.

Late post but not late to greet. It's been a long time since I updated my blog. I got busy with personal and work affairs.

2012 has bee good to me. I started this blog, got more project, saw my mom, started to crochet again, make new friends, and specially found site to purchase beautiful yarns. I am so grateful to 2012 I got a lot of blessings even though I face many challenges. Challenges that make me stronger and make me a better person. So Thank you 2012 and I welcome 2013 with wide arms and open heart.

I am looking forward this year. Hopefully more project and my wish( personal ) to make it come through. I'm looking forward to make more crochet project this year and hopefully I can sell but if not that's ok too. I don't want to force myself to crochet and eventually got injured. We also have to take care of our body to make beautiful project.

My crochet Christmas gift

December is busy day. Busy as in you don't have time to crochet, don't have time to go out, don't have time to post and don't have time to shop. I just sit all day in my computer and doing work. As much as I want to whine keeping busy means more money ^^... and more $. So I will just tolerate December's busy day and will enjoy my time next year.

This year since I'm busy too much I decided to crochet gift items but sadly I cannot crochet as much as I want so my gift is limited to those who are near my area and to those who I see everyday.

I crocheted bag, cellphone case, cute headband and wallet. The pattern I use is from Japanese book I bought last time. I am so happy with the book because most of my gift item patterns came from that book.

Crochet Pullover for Thor

Last Thursday, I challenge myself and wanted to crochet a pullover for Thor. I searched for inspiration and found one ( dino pullover from redheart ). So I grab my yarn from Ice Yarns Ply Luxury Superfine and used size 3 hook. I wanted a pattern that I can easily follow so I search my japanese pattern and found this.

I finished the pullover yesterday (sunday)  but haven't decided if  lalagyan ko ng sleeves. I asked Thor to  model it for me. He liked the top because it's soft and comfy. I notice that it is not long enough and I think kailangan lagyan ng pocket sa front, lagyan ng button sa upper part and dagdagan ng sleeves But I'm still not sure. Right now tinatamad pa ako and gusto ko din matapos yung coat na ginagawa ko. Hehe adik lang talaga.

Ang kulit lang nya talaga. Kahit kelan walang matinong pictures. hahahaha

I lost my hook

We got home in Bulacan Sunday afternoon. I excitedly open the bag and showed my yarns to my niece. I showed him how to crochet the worsted yarn. My niece excitedly tried the yarn and borrow my hook. I'm not sure if she give it back to me or she put it somewhere safe. After two days, I look for it because I wanted to continue working on the blanket. I looked everywhere, under the bed, under the sofa, the cabinet and other places and its nowhere to be found =(.

I'm brokenhearted. It's my first hook and my one and only hook for 2 years. It helped me a lot on my project. Most of my project are created using that hook. I am hoping that I can still find my precious hook, I now it;s just here somewhere. Maybe the hook wants to play hide and seek. Or maybe I am neglecting it for the past days and the hook want me to pay attention like I used to before. I swear If I find it again I will took extra care of it and make sure that I will not lost it again.

Crochet owl bag

Yesterday I made a quick bag for Thor. I hurriedly crochet, stayed up late and finished the bag this morning. The purpose of the bag is to put all his things. He can put some toys, some cookies, some choco and some candies. It will be perfect for our travelling. This sunday we're going home again in bulacan and I'm looking forward on how Thor will handle the bag. I'm sooooo excited.

By the way, I didn't use any pattern. I designed the bag in photoshop and I just go with the flow. I wanted a blue bag, but I only have 1 ball and it's not sufficient so I mixed it with white yarn. Still it turns out good.

Dream blanket

I always wanted to crochet a blanket. But the amount of yarn and time are consuming and expensive. When I bought yarns from yarn-paradise the first thing I consider is to buy yarn that will be enough to make a blanket.
They have different kinds of yarns and that makes it hard for me to choose. I wish I could buy as much as I want but sadly I don't have enough funds. After much deliberation I decided to buy white short fringe yarn. It has 60% acrylic and 40% polyester. I know I made the right decision, the yarn is soft and the texture is just right. I cannot explain how wonderful the yarn is. The only regret I have is that I only bought 1 set. It should be 2 set for me to create a blanket.

I already made 20+ pieces motiff. Still a long way to go but looking at my progress it put a smile on my face. I hope I can finish it before the year ends.

Crochet top for me II

Here are another set of pictures of my crochet top. I asked Jing to wear it for me. She's hesitant but I told her that it will look good on her. The pictures comes out great and I know it will look good on me too eventhough my arms are getting bigger and bigger O.0

Crochet top for me

Last week I made a Crochet top using a Japanese pattern. I got hooked with the design and finished the project in 5 days.

I use 5 50gm Ice Floss Spiral yarn in 5mm hook.

My friend Lorie told me to wear it and take pictures. I told her I don't want too. My arms are too big and I'm shy to pose. I will update the pictures tomorrow. I will ask my student to wear it for me.  =)

I really love the crochet japanese pattern.

I print the pattern and for me it was easy to follow and understand because the  format is in diagram.

Coffee Addict

You know you're coffee addict when you have two big mugs in the morning and 1 mug in the evening...
I so love coffee, my morning is not complete without sipping hot coffee..

Yarns from Lorie

I'm so busy these past days and did not have the chance to post the yarns I received from Lorie. I love all the yarns she sent to me. Most are worsted and white color. So love it..... I'm going to use it on blanket I'm planning to make. If there's still left from white I'm going to make an amiguri pillow maybe a cow or totoro.

Crocheted socks for Thor

Yes!.... I know now how to make socks. It took me months to learn and now it seems easy. I wish I could share the pattern but I don't know how to write it. =(

At  first Thor didn't like it as it has hole on the sides, but after stitching and 100 times pleading he finally agreed to wear/model the sock. So here he is wearing the socks I made for him ( may topak pa ng lagay na yan )

Finally I got my yarns after 3 weeks of waiting. My excitement cut off when I have to pay custom fee ( P1000) huhuhu.. So now I have to think twice if I want to make purchase from yarn paradise.

cute owl phone holder

I just finished the last purse to be send to mother. It's an owl phone holder using the dmc yarn. It's cute and soft and I like the colors too.  Sunday they will be send to Kuwait. I envy my bag and purses they are going to Kuwait and me I'll stay here. ='( . Should I wrap myself too? hahahaha
